OBJECTIVE
Satellite Communication Receiver Trainer is highly advanced trainer. After studying this demonstrator the student will have thorough knowledge of Satellite Communication Receiver. The objectives of using this trainer are.

4. Reception of down link signal frequencies
5. Part of dish antenna
6. LNB mounting arrangement
7. Faults due to dish antenna, co-axial cable, LNB
8. Assembling the dish antenna

10. Receiver circuit description. The block diagram of the Satellite Communication Receiver is printed on the front panel of the trainer. All necessary test points are provided to observe various signals at different stages. Controls like Vision IF, gain control and volume control are provided on the trainer.

DESCRIPTION OF SATELLITE RECEIVER
The main function of receiver is to select a particular channel in the converted block of frequencies between 950-1450 MHz and separate the audio and video information .The audio and video cut sockets are provided at the back of the receiver. Generally an internal modulator is incorporated in the receiver the receiver consists of the following stages:

2. IF STAGE : LC Network

IF gain control
IF Amplifier
3. DETECTOR + AMPLIFIER : Frequency Demodulator
Comparator
Low Pass Filter
