Designed to the requirements of revised Nuffield 'A' level
physics, these units are all based on CMOS integrated circuits.
CMOS devices have advantages over TTL in that power requirements
are lower so longer battery life can be expected, and the
units will operate from any smoothed d.c. Supply of between
4.5 and 9V.
Whilst each board has independent power supply connections,
they may be cascaded and run from a single power source. All
the logic outputs are connected to L.E.D. Indicators which
are activated when the output goes high. Inputs are held low
when not connected. All units are protected against damage
from reversal power supply connections.
